Wryvals Lifecycle & Training

Nothing lasts forever, not even a Wryval. Like the seasons, each Wryval will go through its Spring, Summer, Fall, and eventually Winter.

It is important to train a Wryval while it is young as this is when it has the best chance to learn and meet its potential. There isn’t much point in training an old Wryval, as the saying goes, you can’t teach an old Wryval new tricks.

Race Training

Fly your Wryval through a training training race track. Training for racing may increase the speed and agility characteristics of your Wryval.

Duel Training

Play a duel against a “shadow” version of the Wryval you are training. Training for dueling may increase the stamina and strength characteristics of your Wryval.

After a training session, a Wryval needs its rest. You will have to wait 24 hours in between training sessions.

The following chart lists a typical Wryval’s lifecycle:

As a Wryval enters its Ageing stage around day 180, there isn’t much point to train it anymore as it isn’t likely to increase its performance characteristics. However, it is important to continue to enter Wryvals into tournaments as they are at their peak conditioning at this point. It is also important to note that a Wryval gains experience every time it plays in tournament games, and that experience can often bridge the gap between a more gifted Wryval that doesn’t have the same experience.

As a Wryval ages, its performance characteristics will begin to deteriorate until such time that you decide that it isn’t worth it to feed the Wryval anymore. At this point it can be Retired or Sent to the Void.
